Description

This is new data I collected with my Esprit100 and L-Pro filter with 8hrs of integration time. I had shot this image with an older scope my Orion 80ed cf back in July of last year https://www.astrobin.com/nui2bx/D/?nc=&nce= which had a little of over 5hrs of data. I decided to combine both data sets and the following rev's are the results of that combination and that gave me a total of 13hrs of integration time. Of all versions I really like rev D as I decided to do a cropped version with a different orientation that at least to me gives a completely different appearance. I was surprised at how much detail was in the neck/spine of the Pelican.

The one thing I didn't like is the star layer because the stars with my Orion 80 always had a tilt to one side and of course it would have had to be the side that I cropped. I did the best I could with the star layer and even though they aren't perfect I think image itself still looks very good. I also really like the starless version as well. This cropped version is processed in SHO. I tried the Script NBRGBCombine but I wasn't happy with what I was getting so in the end I just used channel combination and made my normal adjustments to achieve the color I wanted.
